Recurring Bill Payment
Did you know that you can set up a recurring bill payment through your bank or credit union’s online banking system? You select the date and the amount you would like to donate and follow the instructions within your online banking system to set up a recurring bill payment. You can set it up to send a check to On a Dragonfly’s Wings as often as you would like. If you have questions on how to set this up, please consult someone specifically at your financial institution.
Wills, Living Trusts, Memorial Donations and Qualified Charitable Distribution
Wills and Living Trusts – Wills and Living Trusts commonly include charitable donations that will go into effect upon your passing. If this is something you wish to set up, please consult your financial advisor and/or your attorney to update your documents.
Memorial Donation – A memorial donation is a charitable gift made in honor of a person who has died. It’s easy to make a memorial donation — all you have to do it choose the organization and the amount you want to give. You can then give that money to the organization via their website, by sending a check in the mail, or by putting it in an envelope provided by the funeral home at the funeral or visitation.
Qualified Charitable Distribution – A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a withdrawal from an individual retirement arrangement (IRA) that’s made directly to an eligible charity. IRA account holders who were at least age 70 1/2 can contribute some or all of their IRAs to charity. There are tax advantages for doing making this type of contribution. If you are interested in learning more, please consult your financial advisor.
